the world, we can also celebrate the freedom that we were granted in Christ.
Let's look out some Scriptures here:
Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
(1Peter 4:3-4)
For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do--
living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation,
and they heap abuse on you.
Therefore since Christ suffered in his body, Arm yourselves also with the same attitude,
because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather
for the will of God. (v.1-2)
We are the servants of the Living God, He saved us, cleansed us and forgave us that
we may live and be made right with God.
(IPet.2:16)
Live as free man, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; Live as servants
of God.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might live for righteousness;
by his wounds you have been healed.
for you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and
Overseer of your souls. (v.24-25)
Like the people of Israel when God delivered them from slavery in the land of Egypt,
YOU ARE NOT TO GO BACK THAT WAY AGAIN. (Deut.17:16,12:8)
Your camp must be holy, so that He will not see among you anything indecent and turn
away from you. (Deut.23:14)
