Knowing God of Your Life

Often times when we experience the power of God in our lives, we acknowledge Him
with names that describe how He revealed himself in our circumstances.
We praise him in the midst of our trials, when he answers our prayers, or when we
are marveling at his wonderful creation!

Let's look at the example of David (1Samuel 17:26,37,45)
"Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?"
"The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will
deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. You come against me with sword and
spear and javelin, but I come against you  in the name of the Lord Almighty
the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have  defied.  (v.37,45)

Notice that David described God as "The Living God."
David built his relationship with God as a young boy tending sheep. God delivered him
from the ferocious beasts. God's deliverance helped David to trust him more.

What about you?  How has He given you a meaningful moment and what name did you
use to describe his work in your life?
For me, one of my meaningful descriptions of God is that He is the "All knowing God"
(1John3:20)
